The owners of Treana Hope Family Wines have been friends with the Wagner family for over 40 years. Treana symbolizes a trinity of natural elements – Sun, Earth, and Vine – that together with the ocean make Paso Robles and the rest of the Central Coast of California an exceptional area for grape production.

Caymus Vineyards was founded in 1971 in Rutherford, California, USA, by Charlie Wagner and Lorna Belle Glos Wagner, after a long history of vineyard cultivation dating back to 1906. In 1972 Charlie Wagner, his wife Lorna and their son Chuck produced their first vintage, with grapes from their 55 hectares of vineyard, in a winery named after the Mexican land concession,

The name Treana symbolizes a trinity of natural elements – the sun, the soil, the vine and the ocean – elements that make Paso Robles and the rest of the Central Coast of California an exceptional area for grape production. Treana Winery’s wines reflect the geography and local microclimate: rolling hills, limestone soils, sunny summer days, temperate ocean breezes that cool the afternoons as well as dramatic temperature swings of up to 40 degrees Celsius between day and night. The grapes respond accordingly with good sugar levels and balanced acidity. The grapes harvested by Treana are selected by knowledgeable individuals with extensive experience and passion for wine. The Hope family are pioneers in grape production in Paso Robles, Ca. Austin Hope grew up around his family's vineyards, during high school and college as well as summers working on the property he saw firsthand the ins and outs of a small scale wine production operation.
