TheWineyard
Since February 2021, the estate's 150 hectares have been certified organic. This approach reflects Château de Berne's commitment to protecting not only its exceptionally bountiful natural environment but also the people who work there.
It has also held the High Environmental Value (HVE) level 3 certification for several years, thus responding to the needs expressed during the work of the Grenelle Environmental Forum on the economic, environmental and social aspects of an agricultural holding.

TheTerroir
Two distinct entities in terms of geology and altitude characterize this terroir. Eighty percent of the vines are located on a limestone plateau 300 meters above sea level. This elevation brings cooler nights: the greater temperature variation allows for slower ripening of the grapes, resulting in wines with greater freshness and aromatic finesse.
This plateau is predominantly limestone, which provides excellent drainage, allowing the vines to draw water from the depths and giving the grapes their renowned minerality. On the palate, it is remarkably subtle, with salinity and tension.
